United Methodist Women
Two questions that the UMW regularly receives are: “Who is a Member?” and “What is expected of a member?”
Who is a member? Any woman who commits herself to the PURPOSE and chooses to belong.
What is expected of a member? Support for the program of the organization through prayers, financial contributions, and acceptance of leadership responsibility.
There are 30 active members in the Prosper unit. This group stays very connected to the local church and the district organization.
Women of all ages are invited to become members of United Methodist Women. The purpose of our organization is to “know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ: to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church. Members are expected to support the organization through prayers, financial contributions and acceptance of leadership responsibilities. There are currently twenty three active members who stay connected to the local church and to the district organization.
